This is a recipe gifted to me by Mil. It smells really good. My husband loves this dish but hey you need to have this in moderation. This is a real treat. It goes well with rice/chapathis/pooris/Parathas. You can serve it as an appetizer also.
Beef Double Fry:
Ingredients-
Beef- 1/2 Kilo
1 Egg
Black ground pepper to taste
water - 1/4 cup
Paste:
Ginger garlic paste-3 tsp Spoons
Garam masala- 1 tsp spoon
Lemon juice - 1/2 lemon
Salt taste
Pepper
Canola oil as required.
Coconut oil (optional)
Method-
1)Pressure cook the beef in in 1/4 cup of water and add salt and pepper.
You needn't add lot of water to the beef b'coz beef releases a lot of water
2)Make the paste using ginger garlic paste, garam masala, egg and lemon juice
3) After the beef cooks and cools, dip all the pieces into the paste make sure you coat all of the pieces
4) Take a shallow pan and heat oil . Once the oil heats up add pieces of beef into the oil. Add pepper while frying. Turn the slices over add pepper again if you wish so.
5) Take out the beef streaks and lay it over a tissue paper in a plate so as to soak any extra oil.
6) I add 1/2 tsp coconut oil to it, to give it tht kerala touch.
Garnish it with fresh sliced red onions and lemon slices.
Serve it with rice/chapathis/pooris/parathas.
I served them with Pooris and Raita. It is a heavenly combination.
