Ingredients
Cauliflower - 1 head (cut into florets)
garlic - 2-3 cloves
green chilli - 3-4 (depending on how spicy you want it)
Small onions - 12 to 13
mustard seeds - 1 teas spoon
oil to fry
To grind: (Fry all the ingredients in ghee prior to grinding them)
small onions- 8-9 pieces
red chillies - 3-4 pieces
Ghee to fry the ingredients
cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Pepper - 1 teaspoon
Method
1) Boil a bowl of water and remove the bowl from fire.
2) Soak cauliflower florets in the hot water. Remove in 1 minute to prevent the florets from cooking. This is done to remove any hidden worms or insects from the cauliflower
3) Take a Kadai. Heat 2-3 table spoons of oil.
4) Crackle the mustard seeds.
5) Once the mustard seeds crackle, fry the onions.
6) As soon as the onions get transaparent, fry the garlic and the green chillies.
7) As soon as you get the aroma, add the florets with couple of teaspoons of water and cover the kadai with a lid, so that the florets cook.
8) Remove from lid to see if the florets have cooked. Add the paste in and make sure all the florets have cooked.
9) Remove from fire.
10) Serve hot with chapathis or rice.
